My two very favorite lines from All You’ve Ever Known. by Heartsways
“She’d abjured love in favor of a life of solitude; it was the only way to avoid falling prey to it. Having a child was different; children were supposed to give unconditional love and Regina had longed for it: a love without danger, a love that would assuage past hurt, a love that might even heal her, should she let it.”
“But it seemed that she would be the one for whom eternity loomed like some predatory beast, gaping jaws opened to swallow her whole. She couldn’t help wondering if that might bring her some peace. If that fate was always destined to be hers.”
Not only are these AMAZINGLY written, but they are exactly the way I see Regina’s mind working. Evil regals are usually pretty spot on but this author takes the cake. The characters are perfect, the story is realistic, and I truly believe this is what Regina feels. Bravo!
